Our metric roller chain size charts include simplex, duplex, triplex, quadplex, double-pitch, and hollow pin. Metric roller chains are often called British Standard roller chains and are extremely common throughout the world, with additional popularity in the United States! When deciphering roller chain sizes, it is imperative to use calipers for measurement, as these are precision roller chains. Additionally, some metric and ANSI roller chains are very close dimensionally but will not operate on the same sprockets. Simplex Metric Roller Chain Size Chart

Simplex metric roller chains are also commonly known as single-strand roller chains. They consist of a single row of roller chains and can also be designated with a -1 behind the chain size.

Duplex Metric Roller Chain Size Chart

Duplex roller chains, also known as double-strand roller chains, are designated with a -2 suffix after the chain size. They consist of two singular strands of roller chains that utilize the same pins and rivets.

Double-Pitch Metric Roller Chain Size Chart

Double-pitch metric DUROCHAIN sizes are designed to share the same dimensions as their single-pitch counterparts, but with twice the pitch. For example, 08B has a pitch of 12.70mm, and 208B has a pitch of 25.40 (exactly double the pitch of 08B). The purpose is to provide a larger pitch for elongated conveying systems while reducing weight over longer lengths. Additionally, double-pitch metric chains utilize the "dog bone" shape side plates and often will have an "A" placed before the part #. We carry double-pitch metric roller chains in sizes 208B through 224B and pitch sizes 25.40mm through 76.20mm. Hollow Pin Metric Roller Chain Size Chart

Hollow pin roller chains are designed with a through-hole in place of a normal "solid" pin. The purpose of this is for the chains to be used in conveying or elevating applications, with the ability to suspend a through-rod or another device between the chains. We carry hollow pin metric roller chains sizes 08BHP through 16BHP and pitch sizes 12.70mm through 25.40mm. Consult the chart below for a full list of hollow pin metric chain dimensions.
